Driving & Studying!
Two 'big deals' this week to share . . . Kathy and I are now back in school! You read it correct, we are taking a night class at the Irish Bible Institute (IBI) in downtown Dublin. 'The Gospel and Irish Culture' is a class we knew we wanted to take, and as usual, God took care of the details. Two Mondays ago we went to visit IBI to find out the class start dates and . . . whaala, the class was going to start THE NEXT NIGHT. We were able to complete the paperwork and showed up for the 7:00 PM to 10:00 class on April 1st - and that's not even an April fools day joke! Pray that we will be able to make these 'long out of school' brains work in a classroom setting!
Also, The Lord provided a car for us this week! We mentioned to our church planter mentor, Craig, that we would be looking for a car before too long and that our max price range would be about 10,000 Euros. A few days later Craig called and said he 'remembered' that a friend of his was looking to sell a 2001 Renault Scenic that had only 44,000 miles on it. He told me to get on the web and pull up a picture of the kind of car to see if we might be interested. I did and we were! It holds 5 people and still has room for luggage - a big deal when you want to pick people up at the airport! I asked Craig if he knew how much the car would cost and he said 5,000 euros, half what we thought it would cost to get a reliable car!Praise the Lord with us once again for His brilliant provision for us! Pray for the other drivers as we learn to drive with the gear shift on the left and the steering wheel on the right!

Greetings precious friends! Sarah and I have been "Facebook-Messaging" and she had shared with me about your class at IBI...that's so exciting. I've been praying for you guys about that! She said it seems to be quite a good avenue for building relationships...that's awesome!
And about that car...what a SWEET ride! Love it! (And at 1/2 the price you were expecting?!) God is so good! Now, it's just a matter of mastering how to drive it! I'm praying that goes smoothly as well!

You R right about the car, God is Brilliant (awesome) and so far we haven't hit anything! I have been on the wrong side of the road for a few seconds until reminded by another car to 'move to the left', but other than that it's going great!
We miss you to and greatly value your prayers for us - please let us know how we can best pray for U as well.

The class is going on it's 4th week this coming Tuesday and we are planning to visit the Temple Bar area this week to complete our 1 hour observation requirement. We hope to learn more about Dublin's 'weekend' culture from a bit of a distance. . .

I think you guys are lifelong learners (new pedestrians and bus riders and all) and this returning to class thing isn't going to be so hard for you. I will be very interested to hear what you learn from this course - it sounds invaluable.

Our Tuesday night class is an excellent way for us to get more of a fast big picture of current Irish culture and how it has changed over the past 10 years. There are 15 others in the class besides Kathy and I, many from other cultures as well . . . S. Korea, Africa, Argentina, etc. We are making friends and good contacts for future ministry.

As you well know from being here, God's provisions for us have indeed been brilliant! The car is just another example of His grace to us . . . Another wonderful encouragement this week has been getting to know 2 neighbors much better than we had hoped.
We'll save some 'Chips' for you at the spire!
