It Went Great!
Basketball camp ended on Friday and it was sad when our coaches Paul, Ben, Samanthia and SaraJean headed for the Ferry early Saturday morning, on their way to the UK and then on to the states. Alan left in the early afternoon as his family, from Northern Ireland, came down to collect (pick up) him. Though the parting was difficult, the GREAT results of our 2 week camp will, with God's direction, go on for years, maybe eternally.
We had about 25 parents show up for our final day to watch their kids in a 'final' competition of free throw shooting and a fast game of knock-out. There were trophies and award certificates handed out and most parents stayed around for more than 30 minutes to talk and enjoy tea and biscuits. We were able to begin new relationships and encourage some of the kids to join us for Thursday afternoon basketball begining in September.
Pray for the 31 kids who came to all or part of our camp. We wanted them to have fun, and to see a difference in how they were treated. Pray that we will earn the chance to share Jesus with them and that they will want to know why we care.

Hello Dear Ones,
I figured it was about time I TRY to correspond in this manner. I finally have your web site in Favorites & in Bookmarks so it's easily accessible. It is wonderful to read all the great news about the basketball camp and new budding relationships! We have been praying and will continue to!
You all are in our prayers daily. Keep your eyes on our dear Lord! Thanks for your hard work and obedience!
Hugs & Prayers, Sue
Hi Sue,
Thanks for figuring out how to email via the website. All comments go to our same email address, I just go to the website to read them, so this is great. This moring Kieran and I delivered a 'Hustel' trophy to one of the boys at our camp who was sick the last day and didn't get the award in our closing cerimony. We met his father, Pat, and he asked for our phone number - that's a good sign. We visited 6 or 7 of the players in their homes during the camp to try to get a feel for how it was going and to meet parents.
Thanks to you and Tom for praying!
Tim
