It's Been a Good Week!

As summer in Ireland is nearly here, many things are wrapping up until September - today was our last day of Thursday afternoon basketball until our two week summer camp in late August.  Tuesday was Kathy's last 'Mums & Tots' session, but she has made new friends that will be over for tea during the summer.  What a wonderful blessing to see new relationships growing . . . we really like our friends & neighbors here in Ballycullen!

Today was the second day this week with temperatures in the 20's celsius (20 = 68 F) - it is amazing how warm it feels anytime it gets above 12 or 13 here; so 23, as it was today is a heat wave that everyone loves!    The weather is especially great as our son and wonderful daughter-in-law are here on vacation for the next several weeks.

Andrew & Sarah have brought two of our grandkids - Abby who is now 5 years old, and Joseph is 17 months.  They live in S. Asia where current temperatures are in the mid 40's (today, for example was 43, or 109 F) - so Ireland is a great break for them.  They have compared this time of year in Asia as feeling like you have stuck your head in an oven!   I'll post new pics of the kids next week, after I have had a chance to take new ones and get them uploaded.  Take my word for it - they are adorable . . .  as a completely objective observation!
