Kathy Is On Her Way . . .

Kathy left yesterday afternoon on a route from Dublin, to London.  Then from London to Bangkok and anytime now she should be landing in Chiang Mia, Thailand!  What a trip, but if you know anything about Kathy, you know that she would do anything to help with grand babies, and that's exactly what her mission to Thailand is all about.

Andrew & Sarah (our oldest son and his incredible wife) have been in Thailand for triple conferences, and now for the birth of child number three, (our 5th grand child).  Medical care is very good in Chiang Mia, in the Northern part of the country (see map below) as well as cheap compared to US or Irish costs, so it made good sense for them to 'deliver' there.  

Kathy will be doing all she can with Abby and Joseph while Andrew and Sarah prepare for the birth of the newest 'little Laughlin'.  We don't know if this one is a boy or a girl yet but we are praying he or she will arrive soon.  The due date is around February 8th, more or less, and Kathy can stay until the 17th, so we hope this will all work out to be good timing . . .  will keep you updated.

Andrew will collect (pick up) Kathy once she lands in Chiang Mai and wisk her off to the borrowed house they are all staying in for the next month or 6 weeks.  It is amazing how God provided a place for them to stay as long as they needed it, where Andrew can get good work done and has an excellent internet connection - perfect for SKYPE conversations as well as video feeds!  Thanks for praying for all of them over the next couple of weeks!
